Full comprehensive private lessons can be completed with your own bees.
If you don't have bees yet but would like to start your bee learning journey, I always have great learning hives that you can visit and develop your knowledge.
These lessons are great for those who have recently started beekeeping or have bees but not sure of what needs to be done with them. If you have recently purchased a new 5 frame hive from me this is a great option to get them moved into your hive, whilst you gain confidence inspecting them on your own.
You will learn the following as a basic understanding of bee keeping
- how bees work
- how to use the smoker
- how to conduct an inspection
- yearly management requirements
- bee hive entrance behavior
- there will be other lessons that will come up be circumstance around your hive and knowledge level
You will get a book that I have designed for trouble shooting future issues and key elements of the lesson. You get to ask all your questions, and I will make sure you are equipped with enough knowledge to be comfortable to do it on your own.
The session goes for 4 hours but we often go over as there is so much to talk about.
We will start with a coffee and the theory and then apply the knowledge in practice. This will allow me to see you have the opportunity to show you understand the content and confident with the practical side of bee keeping.

Private Lesson
Unfortunately, we cannot offer refund on private lesson. I am flexible with the bookings and I can offer to rescedule. Beekeeping is heavily influenced by the weather so we need to find time that is best for the bees and your schedule.
