Varroa Holistic Management Workshop - Canberra

This in-depth workshop will concentrate on managing Varroa Mites in European Honeybee colonies holistically before the infestation becomes severe. You will discover how to set up for easier varroa management and prepare your colonies for the mite. Learn how to conduct Varroa tests and create your own sticky boards. Melinda will discuss her research in the field and guide you through the world of the Varroa Mite. She will also share her expertise on using essential oils in the hive. We will explore various management strategies, including when and how to apply them. Expect plenty of tips and demonstrations to aid you in combating the Varroa mite and preparing your colony for genetic resistance.
